The cars are ready and loaded, complete with fresh motors and all the spare parts to make it through 2 weeks of tough racing.  We have also gotten our hands on a few Goodyear Racing Tires ready to do battle in Florida.  We’ll be starting out in Ocala, with practice on the 28th and racing at both East Bay and Volusia before we return to PA.

I have completed the seat insert that I have talked about all winter to avoid getting hurt in certain crashes.  In addition, I have my Safety Solutions neck restraint ready to go and I couldn’t be more excited to go racing.  Secondly, besides being excited, I am totally relaxed and stress free.  Last year the initial startup took a toll on me and the team as we headed for Florida.  But this year, Kevin has all the cars ready and built with some Kevin Frey special touches.  We also have some experimental components to try at practice, which could prove to be an advantage or not.  Andy, Barry, Jim and Spenny, our newest team member, have all the spare parts, tires and equipment ready to go.  The team has done a great job of preparing for the upcoming season and by delegating many of the duties I am able to focus more on the driving aspect.  Kevin is returning to Florida as a winning crew chief and plans to continue where he left off.  With Kevin’s own way of preparing a race car, I am anxious to pick up were we left off last year.  I will try to keep everyone up to date with the website and some pictures from Florida if I have time.  I want to thank John Trone for the opportunity to drive the Trone Special 39 another year.  And with the team behind me, I feel like I have a lot to live up to, therefore, we are all expecting much better results than the last trip to Florida.  See you in sunny Florida.
