A Relief Drive has been Chosen!

Doug is glad to be home where he can rest and begin recovering in the comfort of his own home.  This will also give him the ability to keep his property management business going from his phone and computer and be close to his family.  Plans are all set for Doug and his brother to fly to Indy to see Dr. Trammell on Friday.  One change is that Pete Postupack had a last minute scheduling conflict so Brian Workman, owner of Kinard Trucking offered their company plane to fly Doug to see the specialist.  Doug once again expressed his gratitude to everyone that has offered to help in various ways.

Everyone has been anticipating who the relief driver will be.  After much discussion, many names were considered.  One requirement that John Trone wanted was a driver that could run all the races till the end of the year rather than utilizing several drivers.  Therefore, Brent Marks Marks has been chosen and agreed to take over the driving duties for the #39 Trone Outdoor Motorsports sprint car for the rest of the season.  John, Doug and Kevin all agreed that Brent has shown the ability to make good racing decisions and be competitive in a short amount of time.  Brent expressed his appreciation for the offer and is up to the challenge to fill some big shoes. The team should be ready to go this weekend starting at Williams Grove Friday night with Brent behind the wheel.  Let’s all show our support for Doug and the team and cheer the #39 onto Brent’s long overdue first 410 victory.
