Two for Two and Feeling Better

After a long season, I feels good to get back on track.  There are times when you can do everything right, but until everything comes together nothing goes right.  I’m feeling some relief because I was beginning to think that we didn’t build something correctly or maybe I couldn’t drive anymore.  In addition, John’s leadership has enabled us to build up to better results on the track.  One area that has been continually getting better is the relationship between Kevin and I.  It’s hard to describe the driver – crew chief deal.  It becomes almost like being married.  For example, when your wife makes a sandwich she doesn’t ask if you want mayonnaise, because she already knows.  And when your wife gets her hair done, you don’t put your fingers all over it because she doesn’t like that.  You just know what each other like and how to co exist together and make each other happy. …continue the action!

Back in Victory Lane feels Bitter Sweet:

Well I’m getting back on track with our weekly updates.  Since my last update I was at the beach for our family vacation, which was very relaxing and restful.  We left after the Outlaw show on the 25th.  As for the racing that weekend, we finished poorly on the 24th, with a 23 place finish.  As a result, Kevin Frey,  our new crew chief,  got to looking into our motors and made some changes for Saturdays Outlaw Show, as a result we time trialed much better, however the event was eventually rained out.  The next weekend we entered the Dream Race at Port Royal. …continue the action!
